The casher wearing PlayStation jacket today that serve us was quite rude, and the way he talk to us as customers seems quite unethical. We politely asked if was okay to open a new booster box as there were 3 packs left but he mention that the COMPANY policy did not allow them to open a new one until all packs are sold. We understood and decided to come back later and wait for the remaining packs to be sold until the new booster box is opened . When we returned , a new box had been opened and a customer started opening packs in front of us. Since we were pressed for time and I assumed he had already selected his packs, I didn't give it much consideration and wanted select some packs for my purchase. The cashier then interrupted and urged me to wait for the customer infront since he hadn't choose finish selecting his packs and I shouldn't jump the queue before him because it would be unfair to him. I understood his perspective and apologised. Although I could see his perspective, it would have been more logical if the customer had chosen his packs first after making a purchase and stood to the side to open rather than occupying the entire counter and opening the packs there which would block the queue behind. The customer could have return and join the line behind if he truly desired to purchase more after his initial purchase. However , we notice that the three packs from the prior box were not touched at all. So, we enquired why the three packs were still present. He claimed that the customer in front of him had purchased more than just the three packs and hence opened a new box. He added that the client is a regular , a friend and has known him for a long time, making it possible for him to open one booster box for him. He then asked us if we wanted to buy the three packs from the previous box and, in a mocking tone, if we wanted to buy the whole booster box. From this statement , we were confused as he was contradicting the statement he made earlier where he needs to clear the 3 packs first before opening a new box . This gave us the impression that he valued regular customers more than us non-regular customers and gave special treatment. I occasionally visit this shop to purchase things, but after this incident, it left a bad impression due to the way he has talked to us and this stirs me away from coming back to this shop. Its unfortunate as I like the range of the products of the shop but the service is just awful.
