Do not go in for a haircut if the staff are mostly "aunties". That by itself is not a problem - I don't wish to sound prejudiced. The staff who tended to me was friendly at first (maybe a little too much), but sulked and was rude when I requested some adjustments. She suggested that I shouldn't cut my fringe because I have thinning hair at the sides, but it's common knowledge that short hairstyles look better on guys with male pattern baldness, so I insisted on having her trim my fringe. Besides that, she was quite rough during the haircut. It felt like she was cutting grass while using the hair clipper, and she used so much force when brushing the fallen hairs after the haircut. Despite asking for a trim of 1 month's length, she sloped the back of my hair so much that it looks like a mushroom. This is not a neighbourhood barber, so I expect professional service - to the point and no frills in between. I'm not looking to make friends with you, nor ask for your advice (I would have gone to an expensive salon otherwise). The staff at the branch at JEM or Ng Teng Fong General Hospital are way more professional and humble.
