I patronized Japan Home outlet in Jurong Point on 26/12 around 2pm. At the entrance I asked a staff if a luggage cover is available. Although she was busy she direct me to go to lane 4. As I am not familiar with the outlet setting and unable to see lane 4, I decided to ask another staff. I saw a male staff wearing yellow T-shirt but his back was facing me unfortunately. So to get his attention, I lightly tapped his back shoulder and requested where is lane 4. He turned around facing me and spoke rudely. ‘What lane 4, what lane 4’ and said ‘don’t touched me’. I was dumb-founded when he brushed his shoulders as though he was infected by some ‘dirty’ stuff. As a person I would consider that actions rude. I was so shocked that I just told him I only wanted to know where is lane 4. He also passed some nasty remarks towards me. I consider that kind of attitude unbecoming of a Japan Home staff towards customer. At the cashier I managed to tell the incident to your Japan Home outlet supervisor, because again he did passed another remark which I kept quiet and felt offended. As a staff of Japan Home I considered him rude and need training in customer service. I have been your regular customer and always appreciate your products and services eversince. On this occasion I purchased a luggage cover and would consider buying some other stuff but I left your outlet.

Jurong point Japan Home, not yet 10pm already stop people go in for buying thing. 9.53pm stop people to go in, 9.55pm closed door and block the entrance. Why online still indicate close at 10pm? Poor shop

I’ve come many times and it’s a convenient place. Today was my first time to request service from the salesperson. She was so rude to reject my request and thought I bothered her. I never encountered such experience in Japan home even in Singapore.

Date: 8 June 2025 (Sunday) Time: 9:11pm Absolutely unacceptable. I was charged for a 1-meter Type-C cable that I never picked up, never asked for, and never took home. This is not a small mistake — it’s dishonesty. I only realized after checking my receipt at home. When I went back to question it, the staff offered no apology or solution, just excuses. Why should I be the one chasing after a refund for something I never bought? It’s not cheap $16.90, not like $1 or $2 we are okay with it and we asked about the product is it for the fridge or is for the shoe, she push the question saying “she just a cashier don’t know anything ask other staff” Yet she can hard sell us the member upgrade for an additional $70 to get like 5% off or something!! Double-check your receipts before leaving this store. If this is how Japan Home at Jurong Point does business, it’s disgraceful.

Found staff unhappier and ruder over the last ten years . Service level compared to all other shops in jurong point is abysmal. It's one of the few places that make you feel you've somehow offended them by attempting to buy something. I only drop by to quickly pick up wet tissues otherwise wouldn't consider them at all

Purchase via Lazada order 23:00pm, cancellation received in morning. Due to stocks take unable to deliver, this is second time. It is the worst retailer ever.

Horrible experience shopping at this shop, the cashier was very rude! When I made payment at the counter, I told her I wanted plastic bags. After paying, she didn’t give me the plastic bags even though I agreed to pay extra. Then, the cashier showed a sour expression when I politely told her twice that I didn’t have coins and made the payment separately by card instead. Instead of handing me the receipt, she just threw it into my bag as if it were rubbish. Given such service, I will never shop at this stall again.

The attitude of the cashier staff is really very bad. Went numerous times and always never had a good experience: - Always replied rudely to my inquiries. There was even one time where two of them talked behind our backs after I asked something. I didn't even feel like a customer. - Was reluctant to help add japan home member points even though I just finished paying and staff complained it's because I took too long to take out my card. Which is weird as she can process my payment but can't add my membership points and I purposely went on 28th for double points. Hope that the person in charge of this outlet can take some action because I can see that there are numerous complains regarding the attitude of the staff there. Otherwise, I will definitely avoid going to jurong point outlet in the future.

Horrible attitude from the cashier auntie, immediate "I don't know" and pushing me away to the closed counter for asking a simple question that another staff took one look and could help answer. I was ready to pay right then but she insisted to serve the next customer and pushed the items aside. Next customer can take her own sweet time to assist. Zero stars for service :)

Japan Home is a neat and convenient place to get your typical household supplies and small goods. I’ve liked shopping here quite many times but unfortunately, in my most recent visit I had the most unpleasant experience with one of the Vietnamese cashier staff - Sam V**** T***. She appeared extremely reluctant to assist when I requested for voiding of my earlier purchase to make a new purchase, as the staff did not inform me that I had to spend just an additional couple dollars to enjoy the storewide discount promotion. The promotional banner displayed in-store throughout was also unclear and somewhat misleading to consumers, which led to the above incident. The staff clearly expressed her unhappiness and openly commented that it was way too much of a hassle “很麻烦” to assist with my request and suggested for me to forgo it as “it’s just a little bit of money”. I was shocked to see her flinging/throwing the items I purchased into the plastic bag with some force after proceeding with the repurchase, and she repeated the same action for the customer behind as well. Such poor behaviour is unnecessary and uncalled for, and I hope Japan Home is able to relook into training for their service staff at this outlet, majority of whom are older females/aunties.

Area renovated and looks amazing but the layout is still very messy. Something that they have never manage to perfect. But good deal right now! 1 giant pack of antiseptic wet tissue going at a dollar

This medium sized shop has been around for many years selling popular and regularly used household products/goods at reasonable prices. Check it out. If you need anything, chances are you will find the items sold here much cheaper than in other shops or supermarket. Counter staff are polite, helpful and service is fast. I patronise this shop regularly😁
