Turnaround Assistant

The Turnaround Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all maintenance activities during plant turnaround (including shutdown).  TA Assistant report directly to the Shift Supervisor.

The role serves as the critical interface between Operations & TA Maintenance in ensuring all the PTW requirement is met before allowing work to commence by the contractors during TA /SD.

8. Field Coordination & Operational Support

Key Competencies

• Strong knowledge of refinery processes and equipment systems
• Deep understanding of process safety and hazard management
• High level of situational awareness and risk assessment capability
• Effective communication and coordination skills across disciplines
• Ability to make critical safety decisions under pressure

Minimum Requirements / Prerequisites

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the refineries or petrochemical plants with relevant certificate.
• WSQ Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant (Mandatory)
• Confined Space Safety Assessor Certification (Mandatory)
• Manage Work at Height Certificate (Mandatory)
• Proven experience in turnaround/shutdown execution in refineries or petrochemical plants.
• Must be willing to work for 6 months contract.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in permit-to-work authority role
• Familiarity with LOTO systems, SIMOPS management, and isolation standards
• Added advantage: Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., API, OSHA, engineering practices)
